So, I haven't been incredibly active on DA so far, but I've gotten a lot of postive feedback on my Hunger Games dress! I thought that a lot of you would be interested in another project I've been working on. Have you ever heard of wrock from the Harry Potter fandom? If so, this is basically the same concept, except instead of Harry Potter, the inspiration for the music comes from the Hunger Games trilogy! The name of the group is District 13, and it consists of my sister Melissa and myself. We write and perform Hunger Games-inspired covers of popular songs, along with original pieces. We're very easy to access, too, so you can be as involved

How long did it take you to do Katniss's wedding dress?

I honestly have no idea! I did it a bit at a time. I had the wedding dress from a local Goodwill, so I didn't have to construct it. The feathers are black boas, which were attached in a trial-and-error sort of way! The pearls were stitched on by hand (all on a strand). The fire fabric took the longest, and was also attached by hand. If I was constructing it now, I would find better ways to hold things on, because I shed feathers everywhere I went!
