Katniss Wedding Dress 5by ~Alissie

This is a casual shot of me in the Katniss Wedding Dress my mother and I crafted together. I was helped on this shoot by my sister Melissa, my girlfriend Disha, and our friends Nicole and Amanda.

The dress used a costume dress base, then was added to with black feather boas and sparkling multi-toned fabric. I stitched on a strand of fake pearls at the neck and added the sheer sleeves (which are almost unravelling at this point!). In these pictures, the dress is actually pinned shut due to a zipper malfunction.

Katniss is a character from the lovely Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. If you haven't read the trilogy yet, do it nowww!

Hi! Sorry, I haven't been on in ages!

It's actually a one-of-a-kind piece I made for myself. It's cool in pictures and to cosplay in for a bit, but to be completely honest, it doesn't hold up very well. The feather train gets stepped on and sheds EVERYWHERE, and it's very heavy, not to mention hot! I could try to make you a different one for your sizing, if you're still interested; just wanted to let you know what you're in for! xD Message me if you still have interest, mkays?
